The Lake County Fairgrounds & Event Center sees roughly 1,000,000 visitors annually and combines modern indoor exposition and function space, unique outdoor venues, ample free parking, and friendly service to create the perfect site for your next event.

Located in Grayslake, Illinois, we are positioned halfway between Chicago and Milwaukee with easy access to expressways, O'Hare and General Mitchell airports, walking distance from two commuter rail lines to Chicago, and a short drive from shopping centers, Six Flags and over 8,000 hotel rooms.

Requirements from the Village of Grayslake

A mandatory 30 day notice to the village for special events
A mandatory 90 day notice to the village for concerts or large capacity events

Security requirements:

Events without liquor license application will require 5 private security officers (unarmed) per every 1,500 people (at any one time) in the expected attendance limit. Show promoter will also be required to reimburse the village for the cost of 1 Grayslake Police Officer for every 3,000 people (at any one time) expected at the event.
Events with a liquor license application will require 10 private security officers (unarmed) per every 1,000 people (at any one time) in the expected attendance limit. Show promoter will also be required to reimburse the village for the cost of 1 Grayslake Police Officer for every 1,500 people (at any one time) expected at the event.

Parking:
Patron to manage the parking area designated in your contract. Please work with your event manager to determine the best traffic flow for your event. Patron is welcome to charge for parking and receive all funds from parking vehicles on an event day.
The Village of Grayslake may require a parking service if anticipating more than 500 cars.
